GUANGZHOU, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- China clinched its second victory at the Asian Games men's volleyball preliminaries by smashing the challenge of Chinese Taipei 3-0 here on Sunday.

All Chinese players, except injuried Bian Hongmin, were sent on court and Yuan Zhi was practically the top scorer of the team by contributing 13 points.

The Chinese Taipei team tried to make some troubles to the home side, but could not stop China running to the victory by 25-18, 25-18 and 25-21.

Tai Chia Jui led the Chinese Taipei with nine points.

"The beginning of yesterday's match was not good. We made many mistakes under the great pressure," said China's head coach Zhou Jian'an.

"But they learned from yesterday's match and played very well today, which satisfied me most," he added.

Zhou said he encouraged young players to play bravely on courts and be not afraid of making mistakes.

"These young players felt much pressure on their first Asian Games, so the earlier they made mistakes on court, the sooner we could became more mature," said Zhou.

Also on Sunday, Saudi Arabia defeated Indonesia 3-1 to win their debut of the Asian Games.
