TAIPEI -- The membership of Taiwan's executive body will be replaced, as its chief Sean Chen is set to be replaced by deputy chief Jiang Yi-Huah, Taiwanese authorities confirmed early Friday.
Local media reports said the executive body will step down on Feb. 7 after one year in office.
Chen, who chose to leave his post for health reasons, will resign on the same day.
Born in November 1960, Jiang holds a doctorate in politics from Yale University. He was chief of Taiwan's interior authority before taking office in the executive body. |
