3rd Cross-Strait Tai Chi Exchange Activity Kicks Off in Chenjiagou

Jiaozuo, ?August 7(Taiwan.cn), Recently, The 3rd Chenjiagou Cross-Strait Tai Chi Exchange Activity was launched at Tai Chi School, Chenjiagou. Twenty Taiwanese Tai Chi practitioners attended the opening ceremony. Li Ting, President of the Henan Federation of Taiwan Compatriots; Mai Zhanying, Deputy Director of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Jiaozuo Municipal Committee and Director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of Jiaozuo; and Zhang Hui, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Wenxian County Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Wenxian County Committee,attended the ceremony.
The exchange activity was organized by the Liaison Department of the All-China Federation of Taiwan Compatriots, Association for Promoting Exchanges Across the Taiwan Straits in Henan, Henan Federation of Taiwan Compatriots, and the Taiwan Mind Tai Chi Institute.
At the ceremony, students from the Chenjiagou Tai Chi School exchanged demonstrations of Tai Chi forms, swordplay, and broadsword techniques with young practitioners from Taiwan. Taiwanese trainees studying at Chenjiagou also gave a progress demonstration. Dressed in matching uniforms, their performance movements were smooth, with techniques that combine strength and softness, vividly showcasing the unique appeal of Tai Chi.
Zhong Jinfang, the leader of the Taiwanese delegation, stated that Cross-Strait Tai Chi cultural exchange holds great significance for promoting traditional Chinese culture. Tai chi is the cultural heritage of the Chinese culture, rich in meaning and philosophy. It has become an important carrier for Cross-Strait martial arts exchanges.
The exchange activity, spanned six days, which included a series of events such as paying homage to the founder of Tai Chi, martial arts workshops, lectures by renowned masters, and cultural visits.(Reported by Taiwan.cn and Taiwan Affairs Offcie of Jiaozuo)
