Simply put, Fengshui (Feng Shui) is an application of I-Ching, the book of changes. It has been proved to be correct by statistics. However, no past history is guarantee for future performance. When there is a question, one should always go back to I-Ching. Thinking about change.

To understand Fengshui, we need to understand many theories on which Fengshui is based. Include Yin-Yang, five elements, Ba-Gua, Chi, ten heavenly stems and twelve earthly branches.

The ten heavenly stems are most frequently represented by using the five-elements and yin-yang. The twelve earthly branches are most well known as the twelve animals in the Chinese horoscope. Do you know that the twelve animals are related with five elements too? For example, 2000, year of dragon, has character of earth.

There is no good or bad about any elements. The stock market can have a bear year in the year of bull and the person born in the year of pig can be really nice.

In the actual practice, there are several schools that emphasis different aspect. There are basic dos and don'ts that agreed by all practices and that's about it. There are many difference in different schools and a person understand Feng (Feng Shui) should compare them carefully and practice with common sense in mind. On this website, we focus on the 'compass school' of Fengshui (Feng Shui) with contains from other Fengshui (Feng Shui) school when applicable. We will try to present different opinions when we can and let you be the judge.

We try to include as much as possible of four pillars. It claims to be closest to I-Ching. However, it is rather difficult to practice because most people do not know the time when they were born. The four pillars refers to the year, month, date and time of a person's birth. It then derive the character of every time spot in a person's life. The character of the environment and everything else is then derived.
