| Pop Concert to Be Held in Fujian |

The "Music In" Chinese pop music programme on China National Radio held a concert on September 28 in Quanzhou, East China's Fujian Province, to honour the singers and songs topping the 2002 charts.
A Do and Yang Kun won the Best Newcomer Award, Wang Feng from the Chinese mainland and Jay Chou from Taiwan won the Best Songwriter-Singer Award.
The Best Female Singer Awards went to Han Hong from the Chinese mainland, Kelly Chen (Hong Kong) and Stef Sun (Singapore); the Best Male Singer Awards went to Sun Nan from the Chinese mainland, Aaron Kwok (Hong Kong) and Jay Chou (Taiwan).
Na Ying, the Band of Yu Quan and Zhou Xun from the Chinese mainland also performed at the awards ceremony.
The "Music Radio" programme targets fans between the ages of 20-40.With the slogan "I want my music!" it has become one of the most popular radio shows in the country. |
