| Broadway classic Sound of Music comes to China |

Following "Cats" and "Les Miserables", the all-time classic "Sound of Music" will be performed in Shanghai in May, marking the classic musical's first Asia performance.
Most audiences have a general idea of what the drama is about from the film: Maria, a kind and smart governess and the captain's children as well as the songs they sing have left deep impression on the spectators. Compared to the film, the musical better transmits the moving story and beautiful music to the audience.
Jennifer, the leading actress who played Maria in the drama, held a meeting in advance with audiences at the Shanghai Grand Theatre. She was dressed as a nun, much like the protagonist of the film.
During her stay there, Jennifer improvised performances with the children. |
