Yingko Museum is a showcase of ceramic art and technology

Pottery is intricately woven into the fabric of human civilization. Around the world, over the centuries different peoples have developed widely different characteristics in terms of pottery style.

The Taipei County Yingko Ceramics Museum occupies 4,700 pings of floor space along with 10 hectares that make up an outdoor park. With the full support of Magistrate Su and his staff as well as local pottery industry leaders and pottery artists, the Yingko Ceramics Museum has positioned itself as an entertainment venue focused on presenting multiple dimensions of the art of pottery.

The museum was established to promote interaction for ceramists from different places, so that they  can share their experiences in this field. Of course the ultimate goal is to strengthen Yingko's tourism industry.

The museum, therefore, was built for everyone and is not just a place for outstanding successful artists and professionals. The contents on display demonstrate the life and history of residents on this island over the past hundreds of years.

At the same time, in order to make the museum more promising, in addition to regular exhibitions of various kinds of Taiwan pottery, there are 600 pings of floor space for special exhibitions.

Organizing international exhibits is a good chance to promote communication among international pottery artists. So artists from various places can use this opportunity to go deeper into Taiwan's pottery culture and understand more about the development of Yingko's pottery industry.

Local residents are proud of Yingko which is famous for its pottery art and pottery culture. Thus, Yingko citizens are able to establish a unique cultural identity.
