The World Health Organization is pleased with the cooperation it has received from health-care administrations in south China's Guangdong Province. The joint experts team has concluded their five-day investigation into the suspected SARS case and the province's prevention and control system.
The team says the Guangdong government has made good efforts to deal with the situation. It says official awareness is good and the disease surveillance system in the provincial capital Guangzhou is on high alert. The WHO experts say the final conclusion on the suspected SARS case can't be reached until next week at the earliest. The final result will be announced by the WHO's Beijing headquarters.
