HONG KONG -- Taiwan's share prices closed flat on Friday with the weighted index slightly moved up 0.31 points to 8,022.06, according to news reaching here from Taipei.

The local bourse fluctuated between 8,081.37 and 8,020.47 during the day's trading. Turnover totaled 90.17 billion new Taiwan dollars (about 3.05 billion U.S. dollars) during the trading session.
